Finland is known for its saunas. A Finnish sauna is a room or small hut with temperature over 80 degrees C. Sauna bathing in Finland typically lasts between half an hour and two hours. The sauna is often followed by a shower or swim in a lake. In winter, many of the Finnish rub snow on their skin after their sauna. Some beat their skin with birch twigs soaked in warm water to exfoliate and clean.
Using saunas is the most popular leisure activity in Finland. A visit to Finland sans sauna would be incomplete. The Finnish admire saunas for their healing properties. Millions of people in Finland use saunas and on average, each household has one sauna.
Saunas can be used to gather socially and relax with family and friends. In private settings, men and women often share saunas, while single sex saunas are norm in the public places.
In the past, saunas used to be wooden compartments near lakes. Wood was burnt under flat stones and arranged in rows, to produce heat. Steam was generated by pouring cold water on these stones. Usually temperatures in these steam huts ranged between 70 degrees C and 90 degrees C. It could go up to 120 degrees C.
In Finland, there is an annual competition to honor people who can spend the most time in a sauna.

Types of Carpets
Carpets can be classified into three categories regardless of their end uses, either domestic or industrial.
1. Loom produced woven carpets: You can have multicolored carpets having intricate designs, woven to cut pile. The multiple color and intricate designs are woven by using different colored yarns. Woven carpets command the highest price in the market.
2. Tufted carpets: These are produced by high speed tufting machines in single colors yarns. Only basic patterns are possible in tufting machines and are sold as low end carpets.
3. Needlefelt carpets: These are used in high traffic places such as hotels etc and are made on high technology machines by synthetic fibers. These are of high quality and cost a lot more than the other two.
Carpets are generally rolled open from wall to wall covering the entire area of the room. They are always exposed to dust and stains such as inks and tea. Carpet cleaning is a specialized service you can hire for cleaning and removing tough stains. But there lot many things you can do to take care of them.
Carpet Care At Home
Since carpets enhance the looks of the room, maintaining them calls for utmost attention. Here we are not talking of cleaning carpets after they are stained. Dirt and sand damage the tiny fibers if they are allowed to stay there. Use rugs outside the front doors which remove maximum dirt there. Avoiding shoes over carpets help a lot. Vacuum clean the carpets regularly.
Don’t allow stains to dry, rinse immediately using a stain remover and after you did it, remove the stain remover too. These solvents, if left over, will affect the fibers and colors slowly but surely. How will you remove stain remover? A domestic vacuum cleaner will do. Soak the spot where the solvent is applied and extract it repeatedly until you are satisfied.

If possible, it is always better to purchase a house using the biggest down payment you can afford, thus reducing your monthly repayments.

If you cannot afford a deposit or down payment you must still find the money for the closing costs of buying your home, if you estimate about 2% – 3% of the purchase price then that’s a good ball park figure.
There are many different mortgages available on the market, and some are specifically for first time buyers. With so many lenders and so many different types of mortgage, going for one specifically for first time buyers is not always beneficial, so bear that in mind when you are researching.
One last thing, and most importantly is that if you do not keep up repayments on your mortgage, or any other loans secured on it, you are at risk of losing it, so don’t overstretch yourself, work out how much you can comfortably afford each month and don’t go above that. That is one thing you must be very strict on.

Put in practical terms, one sensor measures the temperature of liquid set to leave the panel while the other measures the temperature of liquid coming into the panel.
Flow systems work by waiting for the liquid to rise to a temperature determined by you. Once the liquid meets the temperature, the system turns on the circulation pump and moves the liquid to the desired location. Once the return valve sensor notes the temperature of the returning water is within a particular range of the liquid in the panel system, the pump is shut off. This process allows for faster heating times, more efficiency and less wasted energy.
Solar solutions are coming to the front of the energy debate for many residential energy needs. Countries like Germany are making huge investments in solar platforms and technologies. Solar can be a cost-effective solution for you as well. Just keep in mind that flow systems are a must if you are pursuing solar water heating.

Chill out. Even if you have an older home, you don’t have to resign yourself to living without the comforts of central air-conditioning. A new technology called high-velocity air-conditioning can be added to almost any home-even those without existing ductwork.
How It Works
Also known as “mini-duct” systems, high-velocity air-conditioning typically uses an outdoor compressor to cool the air, combined with a high-pressure blower (usually mounted in the attic).
Instead of bulky metal ductwork, this technology, developed by SpacePak, uses flexible tubing only two inches in diameter. The insulated tubes can be threaded behind walls or inside closets without damaging sheetrock or plaster. This makes the system much quieter than air-conditioning through traditional metal ductwork.
A mini-duct system also dehumidifies the air more effectively. The high-pressure blower compresses the air and allows it to be in contact with the cooling coils longer-which reduces the temperature and removes more humidity.
It’s All Central
Actually, “high-velocity” and mini-duct” systems are just different names for the same type of super-efficient and comfortable central air-conditioning systems. These systems are very quiet, distribute the cool air evenly throughout your house and dehumidify very effectively.
The words “high velocity” and “pressure” may make you think these systems are noisy. Actually, you can barely hear them running and there is no air flow sound at the tiny outlets.
In two-story houses, the mini-ducts are run down from the attic through the corners of the closets or inside walls to the first floor. In a single-story house, the entire system is located in the attic with outlets in the ceiling below.
SpacePak’s mini-duct systems use ordinary, high-efficiency, outdoor air-conditioning compressor units. With this mini-duct system, cool air blows out from tiny two-inch openings in the ceiling or high on the walls. You can barely notice the outlets when they are painted the same color as the room. The finish on your floor will not be that you would find on fine furniture. Deep swirls or sander marks or splotchy areas may mean that the floor wasn’t finished properly. There will however be some irregularities on any wood floor. However, these irregularities won’t seem obvious and will only add to the character of the floor.
